At first glance, machined brackets may appear as relatively simple machined components; however these components can be very challenging to produce within required tolerances. The challenge with these types of component is to maximize metal removal rates while equalizing the material stress in such a way as to maintaining a stable component even with when the remaining material is minimal. At PPG, we have mastered this technique and have applied this approach to a number of smaller structural components and brackets. |
